Our Spanish for Foreign Residents in Seville Course
Spanish for foreign residents in Seville is designed for people who already, for professional or personal reasons, live permanently in Seville. The difficulties that foreign residents normally face in a new place are not always related to grammar or vocabulary issues, but to the cultural differences that they might not have taken into account. Whether you want to improve your communication skills in Spanish, feel better integrated into Sevillian society, or understand local quirks and habits, this course will provide you with everything you need to not feel like a guiri anymore!

About the Spanish course
Empty
How is this different to the intensive Spanish course?
Spanish for foreign residents is a less intensive course that allows space for the other things in your life. Having lessons just twice a week, you’ll have plenty of time to digest new material, apply it to your day-to day routine, and prepare questions for your teacher for the next class.
The students who take the Intensive course also tend to be short-term visitors to Seville. Your classmates will be other foreign residents living here long-term, so this could also be a great opportunity for you to meet others in the same boat as you, and maybe even form new friendships outside the classroom!
How big will my class be?
Each class has an average of 6 students and the maximum number allowed in a class is 10. We don’t allow classes to be any bigger than that so the teacher is able to offer their full attention to each student.
Are the class materials included?
Yes. There is no specific book for Spanish for foreign residents in Seville, so the teacher will bring the materials to each class. These materials change depending on the group’s interests and needs.
What will I study?
As well as improving your grammar and expanding your vocabulary, the Spanish for foreign residents course will give you a deeper understanding of local society. Your teacher will clear up any doubts you may have about Sevillian traditions, lifestyle, and customs. You may discuss local news and cultural events, get more familiar with regional politics, economics, literature, cinematography, and many other things that you might not know as an expat!
How can I customise my course?
If you want an extra boost to your Spanish, you can take private lessons with your teacher. And if you’re fresh off the boat in Seville, you can check out our Cultural Program, which organises guided tours, workshops, and excursions to nearby cities.
What if I don’t know my Spanish level?
Before you start your classes, we need to make sure you’re at the right level. You’ll have a friendly interview with one of our Spanish teachers and will be asked to complete a grammar and vocabulary test. This will allow us to place you in a class that will challenge you but not overwhelm you.
