SIELE Exam Courses in Seville
This SIELE exam course is designed for anyone who’s preparing themselves to sit the SIELE exam. Get properly prepared with our expert teachers and say “adios” to all your worries before you sit down and take the exam.
Not sure exactly what SIELE is? SIELE stands for Servicio Internacional de Evaluación de la Lengua Española. Basically, SIELE is an internationally recognised official accreditation of your Spanish level. It is accredited by the Instituto Cervantes and has quickly become a popular alternative to the DELE exam.
The SIELE is highly valued around the world and is especially popular among students applying to university programmes in Spain and Latin America. So what are you waiting for? This course will provide you with the tools, techniques, and experience you need to knock it out of the park!
Who says studying for an exam has to be boring? No one that’s ever studied in Seville, that’s for sure! Why not turn your exam preparation time into a vacation in this beautiful, historical, and cultural city? Read over your notes on a rooftop terrace with a glass of tinto de verano in hand, wander through our winding alleyways on your study break, and grab a tapa or five at an authentic tapas bar for lunch. All of a sudden your exam won’t feel so nerve-wracking after all!
How is the exam and the course structured?
The SIELE exam is made up of 4 parts: speaking, listening, reading, and writing. You can either take all 4 parts at once and receive your certificate afterwards, or you can sit the exam in individual parts and receive a report on how you did for that one part*. Once you receive your certificate, it lasts for 2 years.
The main objective of the SIELE exam preparation courses in Seville is to help students get familiar with the exam’s structure, their time management skills, and the best strategies to get the best possible result. This course is not aimed at improving your Spanish level (although of course, that will likely happen indirectly), but it will teach you key exam techniques and how to best use the Spanish knowledge that you already have. At the end of the course, you’ll sit a mock exam so that you can get a feel for the real thing!
*At CLIC Seville, we can only offer the full exam at this time.
DELE vs SIELE? What suits me best?
So there are quite a few differences between DELE and SIELE. First of all, SIELE is 100% computer-based, which means it’s a lot less intimidating as there will only be you and the computer in the room. Unlike DELE, the SIELE exam is not split into different levels. All students take one universal test and their results from that test will determine which level they are. C1 is the maximum level you can achieve, which is why so many students take this exam as proof of their Spanish level for university applications. SIELE also contains Spanish from countries outside of Spain, so you will be tested on more international Spanish.
A great advantage of the SIELE exam is that not only is it separated into 4 sections, but these sections of the exam can be taken independently. That means if you do really well on 3 sections but poorly in one, you only need to redo the section that you performed poorly in. DELE, on the other hand, is pass or fail for the entire exam. You will also receive your results much quicker with SIELE (3 weeks maximum!).

What our students say
The teachers, the small groups, hanging out on the terrace; I really recommend this school, the course was awesome! The excursion: very informative, good for getting to know the language and the city. Stay at least two weeks. I enjoyed studying and getting to know classmates from various countries. The accommodation was excellent and a maximum of 15 minute walk from the school, which is in a great location in the city centre. It was a valuable experience for me, I learned a lot and I’d recommend it to anyone!Kunihiro Katsuragi
Teachers are friendly, enthusiastic, and helpful with everything. An insider tip about what future students should not miss: it is possible to move to another level (to another group) at any time, depending on your progress. The classrooms and the school facilities are very comfortable. If you are seriously motivated and have a decent amount of time, the school can provide you with the appropriate learning circumstances to really improve your Spanish, making it easy to get your Spanish diploma.Al Esmail
