How is this course structured?
Should you decide to study Spanish at a teacher’s home in Malaga, the first thing we’ll ask you to do is to take a short online level test, before you arrive. This will not only determine your level but also allow your teacher to search out materials to suit your needs.
When you arrive in Malaga, you’ll meet your teacher and their family and organize your timetable so that you can get going with your classes.
You can also join CLIC’s weekly cultural program so that you will meet other students from the school, explore Malaga and generally have a good time.
Where do classes take place?
Usually, classes take place in the home but if you fancy a change you can always try a cafe, bar, the beach – it is totally up to you!
What will my accommodation be like?
This course price includes full board accommodation. You’ll be given an individual room at the teacher’s house or, if you come together with a friend, you can ask for a double room. All the common areas, including the kitchen, are available for you to use at any time.
Are the class materials included?
Yes, they are. We include CLIC’s student book on this type of course. And, your teacher will design the classes to suit your needs, selecting the most relevant materials.
What kind of cultural activities does CLIC organise?
When you arrive, your teacher will walk you around Malaga and show you some of the main places you’ll need to know. Other than that, you have two cultural activities combined with your course which vary depending on the season. From sports events to art and culture, from food and drink to music and dance, there is something for everyone. And, if you want to join an excursion or other activity, just check out the cultural program and sign up – we’d love to see you!
I'm the parent of a teenager, can I be sure that my child will be looked after during this course?
Of course. We understand that sending your child abroad can be nerve-racking. That is why we take care of every last detail from start to finish. Airport transfers from Malaga Airport are included for arrival and departure. Your child will enjoy full board accommodation and, if the student is under age (less than 18 y/o), they will be supervised by the responsible teacher at all times throughout their stay. In fact, should you decide you want your under-aged child to have more freedom to explore the city in the day, we will ask you to write and sign a permission form while processing the application. All of this to ensure that your child is safe and well looked after.
I’m an adult, is this course for me?
Absolutely! This course allows you plenty of flexibility in terms of customizing the timetable of your classes as well as the content and focus. Plus you will be studying at your own pace while enjoying family life in a beautiful city.
