SIELE (Servicio Internacional de Evaluación de la Lengua Española) is an internationally recognized official certification of your Spanish level. Accredited by the Instituto Cervantes, it has rapidly become a popular alternative to the DELE exam.
The SIELE is highly valued around the world and is extremely popular with students applying for university programmes in Spain and Latin America.
Just what you were looking for? Our preparation course will provide you with the tools, tricks and tips that guarantee you’ll give your best performance.
Prepare and sit your official exam, get a tan and make friends? In Malaga we have the sun, the sea, our fabulous cultural program and an amazing team of expert teachers and administrative staff who will help you plan and organize your stay.
How is the exam and the course structured?
The SIELE exam comprises of 4 parts: speaking, listening, reading, and writing. You can either take all 4 parts at once and receive your certificate afterward, or you can sit the exam in individual parts and receive a report on how you did for that individual part*. Once you receive your certificate, it lasts for 2 years.
The main objective of the SIELE exam preparation courses in Malaga is to help students get familiar with the exam’s structure, hone their time management skills, and figure out the best strategies to get the best possible result. This course is not aimed at improving your Spanish level (although of course, that may well happen indirectly), but it will teach you vital exam techniques and how to best use the Spanish knowledge that you already have. At the end of the course in Malaga, you will sit a mock exam so that you are fully prepared for the big day.
DELE vs SIELE? What would work best for me?
There are a number of differences between DELE and SIELE. Firstly, the SIELE is 100% computer-based, which might make it seem less intimidating as there will only be you and the computer in the room!
Unlike DELE, the SIELE exam is not split into different levels. Everybody takes one universal test and the results from that test will determine which level they are. C1 is the maximum level you can achieve, which is why so many students take this exam as proof of their Spanish level for university applications.
A great advantage of the SIELE exam is that not only is it separated into 4 sections, but these sections of the exam can be taken independently. That means if you do really well on 3 sections but not so well in one, you only need to redo the section that you performed poorly in. With DELE, by contrast, you either pass or fail for the entire exam. You get your SIELE results quickly too (3 weeks maximum!).

My preparation course for the SIELE exam was very good. I learned a lot and everything we did was very useful for my final exam. My teacher Lorena was very friendly. We worked with different materials and I got a clear idea of how the exam worked. Lorena helped me not to feel afraid of the exam and by the time it came and I felt perfectly prepared for my exam. Also I was able to take the exam in the school which made me feel very comfortable and at ease. Thank you very much!!.”
Maria was a very good teacher, she gave the lessons with a lot of enthusiasm. The class was well-structured, the materials we used were helpful. I made good progress and was well prepared for my final exam.”
