General objectives
- Analyze the main theories and methods of language learning.
- Plan a session or parts of a session, taking into account the syllabus, the needs of the different learners, and the available materials.
- Manage varied and balanced pair, group, and whole-class activities to achieve the session objectives.
- Evaluate students with clear feedback on their strengths and areas for improvement to prioritize individual work.
Teacher's portfolio
The teaching portfolio is a collection of your learning evidence and includes the various materials you have created or analyzed. You must submit it before the end of the course in order to receive your final progress report.

Yes. This course is designed for anyone interested in training to become a future Spanish teacher. In these cases, it is important to complete a preliminary interview to ensure that the course matches your profile and needs.
What is the class schedule in Seville?
Classes are held Monday to Friday, from 9:15 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., for 4 weeks.
Can I participate in the Seville face-to-face course from another city?
Yes. You can join online by connecting during the course schedule (9:15 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.). Once enrolled, you will be given access to Google Classroom and receive a link to attend the course online.
Is the teaching practice week mandatory?
No, it is not mandatory, but it is highly recommended, especially for those with no previous teaching experience.
Is this an official course? What certification will I receive upon completion?
No, this is not an official qualification. To obtain an official certification, you would need to complete an official Master’s degree in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language. However, this course benefits from the prestige and recognition of International House, which operates in 52 countries worldwide.
How do the teaching practice sessions work?
You may apply for a one-week teaching practice placement within one year of completing the Methodology course. The practicum consists of classroom observation and teaching real students under the supervision of a tutor.
