At CLIC International House, our Spanish Summer Course for Teenagers in Cádiz is extremely popular thanks to its engaging, age-appropriate approach and unbeatable seaside setting. Designed for students aged 13 to 17, the course combines dynamic classes with a tailored cultural and leisure programme that allows teens to explore a safe, beautiful city while having fun and making international friends. Students can choose between carefully selected host families close to the school or our CLIC Cádiz Summer Residence in the historic city centre, with our professional team always on hand to ensure their wellbeing and enjoyment.
Classes at CLIC International House Cádiz are fully customised to meet teenagers’ needs, using relevant themes and bespoke materials taught by highly qualified teachers. Small class sizes, modern facilities, and the latest technology make lessons interactive and memorable. Beyond the classroom, students enjoy a full programme of after-class activities, cultural visits, weekend excursions, and team-building games—plus the added bonus of Cádiz’s stunning nearby beaches.

Your Place in the Heart of the City: Junior Residence hall
The Junior Residence hall offers a conveniently located accommodation just a 20-minute walk from the school, right in the historic city centre and within easy reach of shops, cafés, and restaurants. Students stay in shared, air-conditioned bunk-bed rooms and shared bathroom facilities. The residence hall provides full board with buffet-style meals and continuous on-site assistance from a dedicated CLIC supervisor for the duration of the stay.
Host Family
Live Like a Local: Host Family Accommodation
Junior students have the opportunity to stay with carefully selected host families who live close to the school, either in the city centre or in nearby residential areas. All homes are within a maximum 30-minute walk from CLIC. Students share a bedroom with other participants and receive full board, sharing meals with the host family. This option offers a warm, welcoming environment where students can practise Spanish every day, discover local customs, and truly feel part of daily life in the city.

About the Spanish Course
Why Cadiz?
Cadiz is the perfect place for your Spanish Summer Course for Teenagers if you are looking for an authentic city which mixes sun, sea, and studies. Teenagers can take advantage of the history of this city, one of the oldest in Europe, but with the added bonus of being next to some of the most beautiful beaches in Spain, with opportunities to do water sports or simply relax after class (our summer course even includes one surfing lesson!).
Our courses are focused on helping your teen reach their potential in the Spanish language at the same time as making sure they have plenty of space to get out and make friends and have fun in our language. That way we make sure they obtain their objectives and have a great time.
How many hours of class are there?
Our teens receive 20 lessons per week and each class is 50 mins long.
How big are the classes?
Classes have between 6 and 12 students, which means our teachers are able to really get to grips with the needs of your teenager.
When do classes take place?
Classes take place in the morning from 9:15 to 13:00. They take place early in the day so our teenagers have plenty of time in the afternoons and evenings to take part in the activities organised by our Cultural Programme.
How do we determine the Spanish level of your teen?
Before classes start, we’ll need to make sure your teenager is at the right level. To do this, we send a link to an online Spanish test before the course starts. This can be completed from home. Then, when they arrive here in Cadiz, they’ll have a friendly interview with one of our Spanish teachers to assess not only their Spanish level but also their objectives for studying with us and their interests. All this helps us make a course that really matches their expectations and yours!
What are the accommodation options in Cadiz?
In Cadiz, the Spanish Summer Course for Teenagers students can choose from two options: Home Stay or CLIC Cadiz Summer Residence.
- Home Stay option, your teen will be living with a carefully selected host family, within 30 minutes walking distance from the school. Prices include full board, bed linen and towels. Younger learners share a double room with a fellow student from another country. This is a great way to take part in real Spanish family life and for long lasting friendships!
- Junior Residence hall. This is situated in the heart of the historic city centre. It’s close to the cathedral, only 10 minutes from Santa Maria del Mar beach and near the bus and train station. The building combines the traditional – a beautiful typical Andalusian patio – with the modern – an ample study centre, well-appointed kitchen-dining room and a great space for your teens to chill out and relax while practising Spanish with their peers. Here, the multiple rooms include an ensuite bathroom, air-conditioning, and an internet connection.
What is the Nationality Mix?
At CLIC, we proudly welcome students from all over the world, creating a vibrant and diverse international community. Our summer courses attract teenagers from countries such as France, Italy, Ireland, Germany, Switzerland, Central Asia, and the United States, among others. This multicultural environment allows students not only to practise Spanish with peers from different backgrounds but also to make lifelong friendships, share experiences, and learn about a variety of cultures while enjoying their time in Cádiz.
Is the transfer included?
No, it is not included in the price. We offer private transfers from Sevilla airport (160€), Jerez airport (56€) or Málaga airport (260€). There is also a Group Shuttle service (95€) organised every Sunday from Málaga airport to Cadiz from 7th June until 16th August, for flights arriving and departing between 10:30 and 19:30. The prices are one way.
Important Information
The price for one week includes 20 classes, study materials, a full leisure programme, daily activities (sports, days out, cultural visits and so on), one full day excursion, one half day excursion, one surf lesson, and medical insurance. The full cost varies depending on whether you opt for Home Stay (accommodation with a host family within walking distance of the school, full board in a double room with a private bathroom, bed linen and towels) or the CLIC Cadiz summer residence (located in the heart of the city with a study centre, patio, kitchen-dining room, chill out space, and en-suite double rooms with air conditioning and internet.)
