Why Cadiz?

Cadiz is definitely the place to be! As well as being the oldest European city with heaps of history (more than 3 thousand years old), it is located on the beautiful Atlantic coastline and boasts beautiful beaches, fabulous culture, amazing food and breathtaking architecture.

Depending on your mood, you can explore the city and its fabulous history, relax or do watersports by the sea, or just try some of the fantastic food. Whatever you are looking for, Cadiz will not disappoint!

How many hours should I choose?

That is really your choice. Usually, students who stay with us for a longer period opt for the 20 lessons per week, while those who stay for a shorter time tend to choose 25 lessons per week. It depends on your objectives and your needs!

How big will my class be?

Every class has 8 students on average and your class size will never exceed 10. This allows the teacher to dedicate all the necessary time and attention to each and every student.

When do classes take place?

All our classes start at 9:15 or 11:20 in the morning and finish at different times, depending on the option you choose. If your choice is 20 lessons per week, you’ll finish at 13:00, if it is 25 lessons per week you may finish at 14:20 or 15:10. Lessons at CLIC start early so that students have enough free time for leisure activities and can enjoy the afternoon activities offered by our Cultural Programme, such as guided tours, workshops and much more.

Is this course accredited?

Yes, it is. International House language centers give their students the possibility to validate and transfer course credits to their universities both in Europe and North America.

What are ECTS credits?

ECTS is the acronym for European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System, which is the common scheme adopted by the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) to coordinate and ensure the quality of accredited studies.
Each ECTS credit is worth 25 hours of work minimum, inclusive of time spent in class as well as time spent doing homework.

How can I customise my course?

You don’t only have the two options of 20 or 25 lessons per week, but you can also choose to add extra afternoon courses to your study plan. We offer different optional classes for different demands. You get to choose between the courses below:

Private Lessons

This is the most customisable course of them all. You will have a Spanish teacher just for you and the lessons will be totally adapted to your specific needs. A second student can join the class if requested.

Surf Lessons

What better way to learn Spanish while having fun? This is the best option to practice sports and learn language at the same time, as you will have a Spanish surf instructor teaching you the basics of surfing and assisting you throughout the lesson.

What if I don’t know my Spanish level?

We always double check the level of our future students to make sure that they have the most successful learning experience. First we will send you a link to an online Spanish test before your arrival and second, on your first day at CLIC Cadiz, you’ll have a chat with one of our Spanish teachers to determine your language level, as well as your learning objectives. This way you will be placed in a class that is challenging but at your level.
