How are the French classes formed and what levels are available?
French language classes average 8 students per class – the groups are small and comfortable. Current levels on offer begin at the A1 beginner level and go through intermediate and advanced levels, which prepare students for the DELF and DALF. If you aren’t a beginner in French, you’ll have to do a level test so we can place you in a class that corresponds to your abilities and objectives. We always try to ensure that students in a class are at the same level and have similar goals. Are you curious about what level of French you are at? The level test is free and no commitment is required to take it. You will, though, have to come by the academy.
Are you considering doing the official DELF or DALF exam?
It’s important to understand the DELF certification structure. The system is progressive, following your development in French. The exam progression goes as follows: DELF A1, DELF A2, DELF B1, DELF B2 and finally DALF C1 and DALF C2. Below, you can see a table containing the structure and content of each exam. The A1 and A2 DELF exams are fairly easy. We encourage our students to take the exam because, in addition to being a stimulus to continue studying, they are also a method of gauging your progress. During normal French classes, we prepare you for DELF exams, and a few days before the exam, we’ll provide you with free practice sessions to help you prepare. The B1 and B2 exams are a bit more difficult and require more special preparation. Keep in mind that you can take the DELF B1 or B2 without having to have passed the previous exams.

How will we prepare you for the DELF?
The DELF is like any other exam. You must possess the requisite French speaking and writing skills, and you also have to know how to take the exam – where the exam lays traps to trip you up, as well as what examiners expect from you. It’s also important to know how to manage your time during the exams because otherwise time can your worst enemy. To pass the exam, students need to know the techniques and practice often. In DELF preparation classes, your teacher will focus on having you practice common tasks, detecting and correcting weaknesses.
