Your Home in the City: Young Adult Residence
The Young Adult residence hall is a modern, well-located accommodation just six minutes’ walk from the school, in the heart of the historical centre and close to shops, bars, and restaurants. Students share air-conditioned rooms with bunk beds (maximum four per room) and shared bathrooms, enjoy full board with buffet meals, have access to a self-use kitchen, and benefit from on-site support from a CLIC supervisor throughout their stay.

Live Like a Local: Host Family Stay
Young adult students stay with trusted host families located near the school, either in the city center or nearby neighborhoods. Each home is within 30 minutes walking distance from CLIC. Students share a room with others in the program and enjoy full board meals with the family. Malaga is the perfect city for young adults. It combines the safety of a small city centre with the vibrant life of a big one. The city has it all: sun, sea and beaches. You can learn Spanish in a laid-back and fun environment with a great cultural offer. During the course, you will gain more confidence in yourself and in the Spanish language. At CLIC IH Malaga, we will make sure you will enjoy your time in Malaga at the fullest and have an exceptional and memorable language experience. The camp also helps students develop a broader understanding of diverse cultures, nurturing their sense of global citizenship.
Depending on your mood, you can explore the city and its fabulous history, relax or do watersports by the sea, or just try some of the fantastic food. Whatever you are looking for, Malaga will not disappoint!
How many hours of class are there?
Our students receive 20 lessons per week and each class is 50 mins long, structured as Spanish classes to provide an immersive learning environment.
We accommodate different proficiency levels, including advanced students, who engage in more complex activities such as reading and writing practices tailored to their developmental level.
Classes take place in the morning from 9:15 to 13:00. They take place early in the day so our teenagers have plenty of time in the afternoons and evenings to take part in the activities organised by our Cultural Programme.
Excursions and Social Events
Our Spanish language summer camps include a range of excursions and social events designed to promote language learning and cultural immersion. Students will have the opportunity to participate in activities such as ( Sample Programme ):
- Visits to local museums and historical landmarks: Discover the rich history and art of Malaga through guided tours and interactive exhibits.
- Traditional cooking classes: Learn to prepare delicious Spanish dishes like paella and tapas, and understand the culinary traditions of Spain.

- Soccer matches and other sports events: Engage in friendly matches and sports activities, a great way to bond with fellow students and locals.

What are the accommodation options in Malaga?
Residence hall: The Young Adult residence hall is a modern accommodation located just a six-minute walk from the school, right in the heart of the historical centre. Surrounded by shops, bars, and restaurants, it offers a lively and convenient setting. Students share comfortable multi-bed rooms (maximum four people per room) with bunk beds and shared bathrooms, all equipped with air conditioning.
The residence provides full board with buffet meals served in the dining room, as well as a kitchen available for self use. A CLIC supervisor lives on site to ensure support, safety, and assistance throughout the stay, making the residence a practical and well-supervised option for young adults.
Host family: Students will be with one of our carefully selected host families situated within close range of the school in the heart of the city centre. The maximum walking distance to CLIC is 30 minutes.
Students will share a double or triple room with other students attending the Young Adult Programme. Full board is included (three meals per day).
During this program, participants will either live with a host family or in a student residence hall. The programme is designed to provide a safe, engaging, and culturally enriching experience for young adults. Students enrolled in this programme will have a curfew; however, they will have some free time between activities and dinner.
How do we determine the Spanish level of our Young adults?
We’ll need to assess the student’s language proficiency to ensure they are at the right level. To do this, with the booking confirmation, the student will get a link to an online Spanish test, which can be completed from home. Then, before they arrive here in Malaga, they’ll have a friendly Zoom or WhatsApp call with our Director of Studies to assess not only their Spanish level but also their objectives for studying with us and their interests. All this helps us make a course that really matches their expectations and yours!
What is the nationality mix?
The nationality mix in the Young Adult Programme is very diverse. We welcome students from all over the world, including Germany, France, Italy, Ireland, the UK, the USA, Czech Republic, Hungary, Bulgaria, Poland, and many other countries.
Is the transfer from the airport included in the price?
No, the airport transfer is not included. The price is 59€ one way from Malaga airport to the accommodation.
Included in the Price
The price for one week includes: 20 classes, study materials, a full leisure programme,daily afternoon / evening activities, one full day excursion, and medical insurance. Arrival on Sunday and departure on Sunday, the price includes extra night and Saturday excursion.
Accommodation in homestay: twin or triple room full board with Spanish host family at max. 30 min walking distance.
Accommodation in residence hall: multiple room (up to 4 people), full board, at 5 minutes walking distance.
